Brazilian airlines expand routes and launch promos
Overview
Brazil’s major carriers have continued to broaden their passenger and cargo networks throughout 2026. LATAM operates new nonstop services to Brussels, Cape Town, Ushuaia, Punta Cana and Bonito. To support the agribusiness sector, LATAM Brazil has launched daily Embraer E195-E2 flights linking Rondonópolis to São Paulo-Guarulhos, with plans to expand to seven weekly services by December 2026. GOL’s flash domestic sale remains active, and its seasonal World-Cup routes – Manaus-Miami and Belo Horizonte-Curaçao – run through August. GOL also flies São Paulo-Ushuaia and a summer triangular São Paulo-El Calafate-Ushuaia schedule. In Santa Catarina, the mayor of Forquilinha is negotiating with both Azul and Gol to restore commercial service at Diomício Freitas Airport. Azul is significantly expanding its network for the 2026/2027 summer season, adding approximately 370,000 seats and 2,500 extra flights across Brazil. The Northeast will see the largest increase, with Maceió receiving 349 extra operations. Azul is also launching a twice-weekly service between Belo Horizonte and Parnaíba on November 18 using Embraer E195-E2 aircraft to support tourism in the Piauí coastline. Additionally, Azul Viagens will introduce new direct routes to Natal from Goiânia and Curitiba between December 2026 and January 2027. Azul has also inaugurated a new direct route between Boa Vista, Roraima, and Campinas, São Paulo. Utilizing Airbus A320 aircraft, this service represents the longest domestic commercial flight in Brazil, with an estimated duration of 4 hours and 45 minutes. The airline will operate eight weekly flights on this route. Azul has announced a new daily direct route between Curitiba and Recife starting November 3, utilizing Embraer 195-E2 aircraft to provide over 6,800 monthly seats. Concurrently, Azul Viagens has expanded its southern Brazilian presence by opening a new unit in São José dos Pinhais.
