Airports evolve into commercial and cultural hubs

As air travel demand is projected to double by 2050, developers are focusing on unique regional identities. Projects like SKYTOPIA at Hong Kong International are being designed as multi-modal hubs for arts and sports, while smaller airports, such as Florianópolis in Brazil, are increasingly acting as community gathering points through local amenities.
