AITRICS and Kangbuk Samsung Hospital to implement LLM-based medical automation

Medical AI company AITRICS has partnered with Kangbuk Samsung Hospital to develop and validate Large Language Model (LLM) solutions designed to automate hospital administration and medical record tasks. The consortium was selected for the ‘2026 AI Transformation (AX) Support Project’ hosted by the Seoul AI Hub.

The initiative aims to reduce the administrative burden on medical staff by automating repetitive documentation and information verification. Key development areas include the automatic summarization of extensive outpatient records, such as past diagnoses and medication histories, and the condensation of longitudinal CT and MRI imaging reports to facilitate faster clinical assessments.

Additionally, the project will focus on nursing workflows by utilizing Speech-to-Text (STT) technology to convert nursing handover audio into summarized text. Medical professionals and nurses from Kangbuk Samsung Hospital will participate directly in evaluating the clinical suitability and practical usability of these tools to ensure they meet real-world requirements.
