Ajax defender Gerald Alders considers Namibia international career

Ajax defender Gerald Alders, currently on loan at Telstar, has expressed openness to representing Namibia at the international level. While he has previously played for the Netherlands U18 and U19 national teams, Alders feels a strong connection to Namibia through his mother and describes the country as his ‘second home.’

Alders revealed that the Namibian football association is monitoring his progress. Although he has not made a definitive decision, he noted that while Namibia has a smaller population, the connection remains significant. He stated that a final decision is not currently on the table, as he remains focused on his development and potential opportunities within the Netherlands.
