AK Parti Istanbul Chairman reports new polling data

AK Parti Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Özdemir has released recent polling data for Istanbul, indicating that the AK Parti holds 44.5% of the vote compared to approximately 40% for the CHP.

Özdemir highlighted significant shifts in specific districts. In Beykoz, the AK Parti's support reportedly rose from 43% to 56%. Additionally, the party saw a 7-8 point increase in Gaziosmanpaşa.

Despite these figures, the data shows the AK Parti has not yet reached the vote levels achieved by Ekrem İmamoğlu, who secured 51.14% in the 2024 local elections. Özdemir attributed the current polling trends to the service performance of local governments, claiming that Istanbul has regressed since 2019. He also addressed the legal situation of Ekrem İmamoğlu, stating that the city lacked expected services even prior to his imprisonment.
