Akçaabat Municipality expands road infrastructure via local concrete production

Akçaabat Municipality in Trabzon is utilizing its own concrete plant to enhance the district's transportation infrastructure. Under the leadership of Mayor Osman Nuri Ekim, the facility operates with a daily production capacity of up to 400 cubic meters.

During the first ten months of 2026, the municipality produced 20,000 cubic meters of concrete, resulting in the completion of 21.5 kilometers of concrete roads across various neighborhoods. The municipality uses five concrete mixers and its own teams to carry out these works.

Mayor Ekim has set year-end targets to reach 30,000 cubic meters of concrete production and 30 kilometers of completed concrete roads. These efforts are being conducted in coordination with the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality to meet the transportation needs of local neighborhoods.
