Akafuku launches limited‑edition Doyo Sawamochi across Kansai and Tokyo

Akafuku’s Isosuzu Chaya brand is offering a limited‑edition summer sweet called Doyo Sawamochi. The product, a sesame‑flavored rice‑cake filled with Hokkaido red‑bean paste, is sold in 4‑piece packs for ¥1,000. It is available from 15 July to 26 July 2026 at a range of locations including the brand’s flagship shop in Ise, several Akafuku stores in Nagoya and Mie, and eight outlets in the Kansai region (Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe). The sweets are tied to the traditional Doyo custom of eating sawamochi to pray for health during the hot season.

In addition, Akafuku will sell its chilled water‑yokan and other seasonal treats at Keio Department Store’s Shinjuku location from 17 July to 28 July, and at the Mie Terrace shop in Tokyo from 25 July. Prices range from ¥350 to ¥1,200, with limited stock at each venue.
