Akhilesh Yadav holds strategic meetings for UP elections

Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav has convened strategic meetings in Lucknow to prepare for upcoming elections in Uttar Pradesh. In a session with party spokespersons, Yadav emphasized the importance of disciplined communication, advising representatives to avoid unprepared debates and refrain from using sensitive religious or caste-based issues that could offend public sentiments. He highlighted the influence of social media, noting that short clips can rapidly shape or damage the party's image.

Separately, the party is strategizing for the Rajya Sabha elections scheduled for October 16. With 10 seats up for election in Uttar Pradesh, SP leadership is deliberating whether to contest a third seat. While party strategists believe winning two seats is highly likely, they are evaluating the feasibility of a third candidate, potentially from an extremely backward or Dalit community, to maximize their political presence.
