Akhilesh Yadav targets BJP over Ram Temple management and AI video row
Political tensions in Uttar Pradesh have escalated between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) involving religious management and AI-generated media. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP, stating that administrative and financial controversies surrounding the Ram Temple management have dealt a “major blow to faith.” Yadav highlighted inconsistencies following a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into temple-related issues.
Amidst these criticisms, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust announced new leadership, appointing retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra as CEO and naming three new trustees: Mahesh Bhagchandka, Madan Mohan Pandey, and Dr. Nirmala Yadav.
Simultaneously, a digital conflict has emerged ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections. Both parties are accusing each other of using AI-generated videos to spread misleading narratives. The SP released a video targeting the Yogi Adityanath government regarding alleged temple donation irregularities, while the BJP accused the SP of insulting Hindu traditions and saints through such digital content.
