AKIRA 35th Anniversary 4K Remaster Hits Brazilian Cinemas

Sato Company is releasing a newly remastered 4K version of the anime film AKIRA to commemorate the 35th anniversary of its Brazilian debut. The film will open in cinemas across Brazil on 27 August, with both subtitled and Portuguese‑dubbed formats available. A special event, featuring an exclusive poster of the protagonist, will be held at Sato Cinema on 9 August. Distribution is being handled by Sato Company.

The original Japanese release of AKIRA arrived in Brazil in August 1991, becoming a landmark in the country’s anime history. The 4K version aims to introduce the classic to a new generation while offering longtime fans an upgraded visual experience.
