Akshay Kumar to team up again with director Ahmed Khan on new film

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and director Ahmed Khan confirmed they are planning another collaboration following the success of their recent movie Welcome to the Jungle. Khan said the pair are discussing several concepts, including an action‑comedy, a romantic action drama and a full‑scale action film, and noted that Kumar has also shared a script idea. An official announcement will be made once the script and schedule are finalised.

Welcome to the Jungle, released on 26 June 2026, was a box‑office hit, earning about 140 crore nett. Khan dismissed circulating rumours about a zombie comedy or a fourth franchise installment, emphasizing that the next project will be with Kumar. He also mentioned his upcoming production Baap, now in Zee Studios' hands, but the focus remains on the new Kumar‑Khan film.
