Aksys Games releases OVER REQUIEMZ for Nintendo Switch

Aksys Games has released OVER REQUIEMZ, a dark otome visual novel, for the Nintendo Switch in both physical and digital formats. The game is a dark reimagining of The Wizard of Oz, following a high school student named Yuhiru who is transported to the kingdom of Oz via a tornado.

In this version of the story, Yuhiru is sentenced to death and must explore mysterious, monster-infested ruins alongside four death row convicts and a supervisor to find a way home. Players can choose between different story routes, including redemptive ‘Fact’ paths and somber ‘Dark’ paths, with the ability to jump between character stories using a flowchart.

The game features five primary love interests: Molly, Claude, Noil, Kaize, and Dorothy. Unlike many otome games, it eschews traditional affection points in favor of major narrative choices that determine the endings.
