AKTOR Group delivers Thessaloniki Metro expansion to Kalamaia

The AKTOR Group has officially handed over the Thessaloniki Metro expansion toward Kalamaia to the Greek state. The project was inaugurated by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Mikra metro station in the presence of cabinet members, MPs, and the European Commissioner for Transport and Tourism, Apostolos Tzitzikostas.

This expansion represents the first branch in an automated metro system in Greek technical history and includes five new stations. The project was completed in collaboration with Hitachi. AKTOR CEO Exarchou noted that the completion of this modern infrastructure reflects political will and the strengthening of the Greek economy, mentioning that the company recently secured €1 billion in capital to support €3 billion in future investments.
