These developments follow the implementation of new bus routes by OSETH on September 1 and the pilot 24-hour metro operations scheduled for the first two weekends of September to support the 90th International Thessaloniki Fair. While ONNED Thessaloniki has proposed permanent 24-hour weekend operations to improve safety and mobility for young citizens, the metro expansion continues to be a central component of the city’s broader infrastructure goals, which include the integration of 50 new electric articulated buses into the OASTH fleet.
