AKTOR Group unveils 2030 decarbonisation strategy and 2025 sustainability report

The Greek AKTOR Group has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, outlining a comprehensive decarbonisation plan called the “AKTOR Decarbonisation Strategy 2030”. The strategy aims to steadily lower the group’s carbon footprint through measures such as climate‑resilience analysis, biodiversity impact assessments, and a circular‑economy framework that will be rolled out from 2027. Reported targets include a 35 % rise in renewable‑energy generation (from 36,000 MWh to 47,000 MWh), a 15 % cut in fossil‑energy consumption (from 283,000 MWh to 238,000 MWh), an 8 % increase in water recycling to about 140,000 m³, and 91 % recycling of construction waste. Social initiatives feature an increase in women among senior managers from 23 % to 30 % and a 52 % boost in employee training hours, supported by the new AKTOR Drive e‑learning platform. The group earned a Silver Award from EcoVadis, placing it in the top 15 % of its sector worldwide for sustainability performance.
