Turkish municipalities upgrade rural roads with new asphalt layers

The Yozgat Provincial Special Administration completed a second‑layer asphalt pavement on the village road in Çorak as part of its 2026 investment program, aiming to improve safety and comfort for local travellers.

Mersin Metropolitan Municipality carried out extensive sathi (surface) and hot‑asphalt works in the Mut district after heavy winter rains, resurfacing 12.5 km of the Alaçam‑Özlü road, 7.5 km of the Selamlı‑Kadıköy road, as well as 1.5 km of double‑layer pavement on Sarıoğlu Değirmen Street and 1.25 km of bituminous hot‑asphalt on Uğur Mumcu Street.

In Akyazı, the second phase of the Karacasu Creek Environmental Project began with asphalt laying to create a new traffic artery through the town.

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality renovated roughly 4 km of streets in Egemenlik neighbourhood, investing over 12 million TL in hot‑asphalt surfacing to modernise the area's road network.
