Al Jazeera journalists killed in Israeli strike on Gaza media tent

Al Jazeera journalist Anas Al-Sharif and five colleagues were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a media tent outside Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on August 10, 2025.

Among the deceased were Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Qreiqeh, cameramen Mohammed Noufal and Ibrahim Zaher, and journalists Moamen Aliwa and Mohammed al-Khalidi. Al-Sharif, a prominent figure in Gaza's media coverage, had been reporting from the region since the start of the conflict.

Al Jazeera has commemorated the anniversary of the deaths, noting the significant impact the loss had on the journalistic community in the Gaza Strip. The network highlighted the courage of the reporters who continued to provide coverage despite extreme conditions and military pressure.
