Al-Qassam Brigades announce deaths of two leaders in Gaza

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the deaths of two high-ranking members following Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Mohammed Abdul Salam Al-Yazouri, commander of the Khan Younis brigade and a member of the Al-Qassam General Military Council, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Al-Mawasi area of western Khan Younis. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the strike, stating Al-Yazouri was responsible for directing fighters and attempting to rebuild the brigade's strength. The operation also reportedly killed Hudhayfa Muammar and Mohammed Bahjat Radi.

Additionally, the Al-Qassam Brigades mourned Farah Ahmed Abdel Majeed Hamed, a member of the military council for the West Bank. Hamed, known as ‘Abu Ahmed’, was killed in an operation targeting him southwest of Gaza City. Hamed was a former prisoner released in the ‘Wafa al-Ahrar’ deal in 2011 and was previously associated with the Silwad cell, which conducted operations in the West Bank during the Al-Aqsa Intifada.
