Israeli military operations against Hamas leadership in Gaza

Overview

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the deaths of several high-ranking members following Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.

In the Khan Younis area, an Israeli airstrike killed Mohammed Abdul Salam Al-Yazouri, the commander of the Khan Younis brigade and a member of the Al-Qassam General Military Council. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the strike, stating Al-Yazouri was responsible for directing fighters and attempting to rebuild the brigade’s strength. The operation also resulted in the deaths of Hudhayfa Muammar, identified as a Hamas company commander, and Mohammed Bahjat Radi.

Additionally, the Al-Qassam Brigades reported the death of Farah Ahmed Abdel Majeed Hamed, known as ‘Abu Ahmed’, a member of the military council for the West Bank, following an operation southwest of Gaza City.
