Al Tuban village demolished by Israeli authorities in West Bank

Israeli authorities demolished the Palestinian village of Al Tuban in the Masafer Yatta region of the West Bank on September 2. The operation, conducted with military escort, resulted in the destruction of 21 homes, water systems, electrical cables, livestock enclosures, and agricultural fields.

The village is located near ‘firing zone 918’, an area designated as a military zone by the Israeli army, which has led to demolition orders for Palestinian settlements in the vicinity. This event marks the 66th village demolished since October 7, 2023.

The demolitions have left nearly 100 people, including 28 children, homeless and without access to food or water. Despite the destruction, residents have reportedly refused to leave, setting up a tent among the ruins to maintain their presence in the area.
