Alabama Heat Advisory Extended Through Friday as Temperatures Near 90°F

The Alabama Emergency Management Agency issued a heat advisory for northern and central Alabama that will remain in effect through Friday. The agency also urges checking on relatives and neighbors during the holiday weekend.

The forecast shifts on Sunday, bringing more widespread showers and thunderstorms that should lower afternoon temperatures below heat‑advisory thresholds through early next week.
