Alabama Shakes announce new album 'I Must Be Dreaming' and release single 'I Feel Hope Coming

After an 11‑year hiatus, the American blues‑rock trio Alabama Shakes confirmed that their third studio album, titled “I Must Be Dreaming”, will be released on 28 August through Island Records. The record, recorded in Nashville’s Sound Emporium and Blackbird studios, was produced with longtime collaborator Shawn Everett.

The announcement was accompanied by the new single “I Feel Hope Coming”, described by vocalist Brittany Howard as a hopeful protest hymn. The album follows earlier 2025 singles “Another Life” and “American Dream” and will contain eleven tracks, including titles such as “Tea Time”, “Garden” and “How Love’s Supposed To Go”.

The band is currently playing summer festivals in Europe and plans a North‑American tour later this summer, with dates alongside the Tedeschi Trucks Band and a show at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
