Alabama Shakes debut new songs at Vancouver's Freedom Mobile Arch

Alabama Shakes performed at the Pacific National Exhibition’s Freedom Mobile Arch in Vancouver on July 26, 2026, drawing a crowd of about 9,000 fans. The concert marked the band’s first Vancouver‑area show in more than a decade and featured live debuts of several tracks from their forthcoming album *I Must Be Dreaming*, their first release in 11 years after a hiatus that began in 2018. Lead vocalist Brittany Howard, accompanied by guitarist Heath Fogg and bassist Zac Cockrell, delivered a set that blended blues, funk‑infused R&B and gospel‑styled numbers, with Howard noted for her striking blue outfit and teal Gibson SG guitar. The new outdoor amphitheatre, praised for its video screens, lighting ceiling and sound system, hosted the 90‑minute show, which began at 8:14 p.m. and concluded at 9:42 p.m. The band announced additional dates at the venue in early August as part of the PNE’s Summer Night Concert series.
