Alabama Shakes to release new album “I Must Be Dreaming” on Aug. 28

Alabama Shakes announced their third studio album, I Must Be Dreaming, scheduled for release on 28 August 2025 via Island Records. It is the band’s first album in more than a decade, following 2015’s Sound & Color. The record was recorded in Nashville’s Sound Emporium and Blackbird Studios and produced by the trio with six‑time Grammy winner Shawn Everett.

The album is preceded by the single “I Feel Hope Coming,” issued on 10 July, alongside previously released tracks “Another Life” and “American Dream.” Lead singer Brittany Howard says the title reflects a dual sense of “the world is crazy — and also incredibly beautiful.”

To support the release, Alabama Shakes are undertaking a worldwide headline tour across North America and Europe, with dates at festivals such as Italy’s Summer Festival, Spain’s NOS Alive, Portugal’s NOS Alive, and venues ranging from New York’s Radio City Music Hall to numerous stadiums in the United States and Canada.
