Alabama Shakes to release new album ‘I Must Be Dreaming’

The soul-rock band Alabama Shakes is releasing a new album titled ‘I Must Be Dreaming’, scheduled for release on August 28. This marks the group’s first full-length LP since a seven-year hiatus that began in 2018.

The current lineup features lead singer and guitarist Brittany Howard alongside guitarist Heath Fogg and bassist Zac Cockrell. During the hiatus, Howard pursued a successful solo career involving collaborations with artists such as Bon Iver and composer Ludwig Göransson.

The upcoming album is described as an expansion of the band’s rootsy sound into funkier directions, with lyrical themes exploring love, nature, and societal anxiety.
