Former radio broadcaster Alan Jones is appearing in Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court to face trial for 22 counts of indecent assault and sexual touching without consent. Jones, 85, has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies the allegations made by six male complainants.

During court proceedings, testimony was heard regarding a former radio staffer who alleged Jones repeatedly kissed and groped him without consent. A friend of one complainant, referred to as ‘C’, testified that the man had previously claimed Jones was ‘in love with him’ and had engaged in ongoing flirting.

Radio broadcaster Ray Hadley also provided testimony, recalling how a staffer tearfully confided in him about the alleged misconduct. Hadley described the victim as feeling helpless and fearful for his career. The trial continues to examine allegations spanning a period between 2003 and 2023.
