Alan Jones trial: Peter FitzSimons testifies regarding sexual assault allegations

Journalist and author Peter FitzSimons testified in a Sydney court on Thursday as a prosecution witness in the trial of former radio host Alan Jones. Jones, 85, faces 22 charges, including 20 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching without consent.

FitzSimons provided evidence regarding his 2019 conversation with an anonymous radio staffer, referred to as Complainant C. The staffer alleged that Jones subjected him to unwanted kisses and groped him while the staffer was driving him. The complainant also described an incident in a lift where Jones allegedly pushed him against a wall and grabbed his groin.

FitzSimons told the Downing Centre Local Court that the staffer was “completely emotionally traumatised” and expressed being “revolted” by the alleged behavior. Jones has pleaded not guilty to all charges and continues to deny the allegations made by six male complainants.
