Alan Jones trial: Ray Hadley testifies regarding messages to complainant

During the criminal trial of broadcaster Alan Jones, former colleague Ray Hadley testified that he sent text messages to an alleged victim stating that Jones ‘needs to be destroyed’.

Jones, 85, is facing 20 counts of indecent assault and two counts of sexual touching without consent. The allegations involve six male complainants and cover a 17-year period from 2003 to 2020. Jones denies that any of the alleged physical acts took place.

In court, Hadley admitted to messaging a complainant, referred to as ‘C’, in October 2019. Hadley also acknowledged sending messages regarding the 2023 publication of allegations in The Sydney Morning Herald, including a vow to ‘tear his supporters apart’.
