Alanya Mayor Announces Road Renovation Projects in Kestel and Mahmutlar

Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik met with residents of the Kestel and Mahmutlar neighbourhoods to discuss and plan extensive road infrastructure works. After site inspections, the municipal team outlined the replacement of damaged surfaces with hot‑mix asphalt – 3,500 metres in Kestel and 3,750 metres in Mahmutlar – including the refurbishment of Atatürk Avenue and several side streets. The project, coordinated by the municipality’s technical department and local contractors, aims to modernise the roads, improve traffic flow and address longstanding pavement deterioration.

Local officials and the Kestel muhtar, Hüsnü Uyar, thanked the mayor for the rapid response and detailed planning, emphasizing the community’s expectation for faster, safer travel once the works are completed.
