The Alaska Atmos Rewards program offers several advantages for travelers, including free point transfers for Atmos Summit or Hawaiian cardholders, free stopovers on most one-way awards, and easy, free award changes. The program features beneficial award chart sweet spots for short-haul US flights, intra-Alaska travel, and routes connecting the US to Oceania, Asia, and South America. Additionally, elite status is relatively easy to acquire, and award flights can earn status points based on distance flown.

However, the program faces certain limitations. Its route network is less extensive than competitors such as Delta, United, and American Airlines. Currently, the program restricts awards involving multiple partners to American Airlines, British Airways, and Finnair, though more partners are expected to be added this year. Furthermore, a $20 partner award booking fee applies unless the traveler holds a Summit card.
