Alayköy nightclub shooting investigation continues

Two suspects, identified as K. B. (48) and D. D. (25), remain in custody following an armed attack on a nightclub in Alayköy. The suspects allegedly fired two shots from a shotgun at the establishment's sign because they were not provided with hostesses.

During a court appearance in Lefkoşa, police reported that the suspects were apprehended in a vehicle in Girne. Authorities recovered a shotgun and 15 cartridges at the scene. The shotgun used in the incident is registered to an individual named Yaşar Falyalı, and investigators are currently looking into how the suspects obtained the weapon.

The court has ordered a four-day extension of the suspects' detention to allow for further investigation, including ballistic testing of the weapon, analysis of facial and hand swab samples, and the review of camera footage.
