Alba County, Romania records serious DN1 crash and weekend speed‑radar checks

A severe traffic collision occurred on the DN1 road near Sântimbru in Alba County, involving two motorcyclists and a car. Emergency services responded to the incident, which resulted in significant injuries.

Separately, the Alba County Police announced the deployment of speed‑radar units across a series of national and county roads on the weekend of 11–12 July 2026. Drivers were urged to observe speed limits and follow traffic regulations on routes including DN1 (Alba Iulia – Sântimbru), DN7, DN67C, DN74 and DN75, among others.
