Albania: Schools resume normal operations following protests

Albanian Minister of Education Mirela Kumbaro has announced that more than 1,400 schools across the country have resumed normal operations this Monday. Despite damage to some Ministry offices caused by recent protests, Kumbaro stated that Ministry staff have continued working both physically and online to ensure the educational system remains functional.

In a message to parents, the Minister expressed gratitude to teachers and school staff for their dedication. She urged parents to trust educators and encouraged them to discuss the impact of violence and vandalism with their children. Additionally, Kumbaro extended an invitation for dialogue to students, emphasizing that the Ministry remains open to communication to resolve ongoing issues.
