Albania sees 40th rally against Prime Minister Edi Rama in Tirana

A 40th street protest was held in Tirana, where demonstrators gathered at Skënderbeg Square, marched toward the boulevard Dëshmorët e Kombit and stopped before the Prime Minister’s office. Participants displayed banners and shouted slogans demanding political change, an end to public funding for a Kanye West concert, accountability for police actions, and reforms in health‑care, social support and anti‑corruption measures.

Journalist Osman Stafa addressed the crowd, urging citizens to keep resisting, describing the protesters as “eagles” fighting for a different Albania and condemning Prime Minister Rama for labeling them “the riffraff and the mob.” The demonstration concluded without reported incidents, and organizers announced a next protest planned for 11 July.
