Albania joins International Stabilization Force in Gaza

Albania has officially finalized a Participating State Agreement to join the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in the Gaza Strip. The agreement was signed on October 21 by representatives from Albania, the Board of Peace, the ISF, and the Gaza Working Group.

Albania will provide support for security operations and operational planning capabilities. This contribution complements existing commitments from Morocco and Kosovo. The mission aims to advance governance, security, humanitarian aid, the rule of law, and reconstruction in Gaza, in alignment with a comprehensive peace plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803.

The signing ceremony included Albanian Defense Minister Ermal Nufi, Chief of Defense Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, ISF Commander Major General Jasper Jeffers, and U.S. Ambassador to Albania Eric Wendt. Albanian liaison officers are expected to be deployed to the region next month.
