Albania weather forecast: Cooling temperatures and rain
Albania is experiencing a shift in atmospheric conditions due to the passage of relatively cooler and more humid air masses from the north. This transition is bringing typical autumn weather patterns to the region.
On October 25, 2026, temperatures are expected to drop across the country. Mountainous areas will see minimums between 5°C and 6°C, with maximums not exceeding 21°C. Lowland areas will fluctuate from 9°C in the morning to 24°C–25°C at midday, while coastal regions will range from 13°C to 24°C.
Cloud cover will vary, with more significant cloudiness in mountainous, northern, and northeastern regions. Isolated, short-term rain showers are possible in high mountainous areas during the evening and night. Winds will primarily blow from the northeast and northwest at speeds of 2–7 m/s, with occasional gusts along the coast and in high altitudes. Sea waves are expected to be low to moderate, reaching 2 to 3 meters.
By October 26, 2026, average temperatures are forecast to be around 14–18°C. A regional contrast will persist, with warmer conditions in the south, such as Vlora and Saranda reaching 20°C, while the north, including Kukës, may see lows of 10°C. Light rain is expected in the afternoon for Shkodra, Durrës, and Tirana.
