Gazmend Bardhi, leader of the Democratic Party (PD) parliamentary group, sent a message to PD deputies asking them to convene on Monday, 20 July, at 11:00 at the party headquarters. The meeting, scheduled one hour before the plenary session set for 12:00, is intended to prepare the group for any scenario and possibly reverse the earlier decision to boycott the session.

Bardhi emphasized that the deputies will be ready “to participate if the group decides to take part.” Several PD members have publicly opposed the boycott, arguing that non‑attendance would remove the party’s platform for public debate and that their presence is needed to represent citizens’ demands. The upcoming gathering aims to finalize the party’s stance on attendance at the parliamentary session.

The decision could affect the composition of the Albanian parliament’s debates, although the outcome remains uncertain.
