Alberobello to host writer Carmen Pellegrino for Festa dei Lettori

As part of the 22nd edition of the Festa dei Lettori, the town of Alberobello will host writer and historian Carmen Pellegrino on October 20, 2026. The event, themed ‘Le vie delle parole’, will take place at 18:30 at the Conceria e Biblioteca di Comunità.

Pellegrino will present her work, ‘Le parole che mancano’, which explores the connections between memory, education, and social redemption. The discussion will focus on the experiences of past generations who lacked formal education and used culture as a tool for individual and social emancipation, while also questioning the value of modern linguistic heritage.

The initiative is organized in collaboration with the association ‘I Presìdi del Libro’, the Puglia Region, and the Ministry of Education and Merit, with the patronage of the Municipality of Alberobello. Admission is free and open to the public until capacity is reached.
