Alberta's future debated in upcoming public forum

The KEI Network will host an online public forum on September 10 to discuss the future of Alberta and its relationship with Canada. The discussion will examine three primary paths for the province: full separation from Canada, preparing for a shifting relationship with the federal government in Ottawa, or remaining within Confederation to strengthen the union.

Keith Wilson, a constitutional and property-rights lawyer and founder of Alberta’s Next Step, will present arguments for Alberta's independence. Entrepreneur Bill Jones will advocate for a strategy of preparation, suggesting the province should build capacity to respond to a changing federal dynamic rather than pursuing immediate separation or maintaining the status quo. The forum, moderated by Perry Kinkaide, will allow the audience to participate by challenging both positions and presenting arguments for staying in Canada.
