Alberto Angela surprises Lucca Comics audience in Star Wars costume
Science communicator Alberto Angela made a surprise appearance at Lucca Comics & Games, arriving dressed as a Mandalorian from the Star Wars universe. Accompanied by a parade of cosplayers including Jedi, Stormtroopers, and Sith, Angela revealed his identity by removing his helmet in front of the Teatro del Giglio to the applause of the crowd.
Following the themed entrance, Angela participated in his first appearance at the festival to discuss his new book, “Cesare. La conquista dell’eternità,” published by Mondadori. During a session with Gianluca Gazzoli, he explored the power of storytelling and how to make historical dissemination engaging for modern audiences.
Lucca Mayor Mario Pardini presented Angela with the Medaglia Città di Lucca during the event. The scheduled appearance, which included a book signing, was a sold-out event.
