Spanish municipalities host diverse regional sports events and community programs

Various Spanish municipalities are hosting diverse sporting events and community initiatives. Benavente is participating in the European Week of Sport under the #BeActive campaign, offering activities such as inclusive boules, climbing, night skating, and cycling, including a charity swimming event to support cancer research.

In Ciudad Real, the European Week of Sport features an expanded program with 23 clubs organizing 35 different activities to promote physical activity and visibility for local sports entities. Additionally, the city has been awarded the hosting rights for the 2027 Spanish Master Summer Swimming Championship.

Other regional highlights include Alcalá la Real hosting the IV Spanish Hockey+ Championship, which brings together 20 teams, and Bermeo implementing a project to integrate the Basque language into local sports clubs. In València, the city is also preparing for the European Week of Sport with open days at municipal sports centers and outdoor activities on the coast.
