Aldi dishwasher tablets top Stiftung Warentest consumer study

A recent study by the German consumer organization Stiftung Warentest evaluated 16 different dishwasher detergents, including ten traditional tablets and six capsules. The testing process involved thousands of dishes and addressed 11 types of various food residues, such as dried egg yolk and tea stains.

Key evaluation criteria included cleaning effectiveness, limescale prevention, rinsing and drying performance, and the impact on materials like glassware and cutlery. Environmental impact and packaging usability were also considered.

The results indicated that the most expensive products are not necessarily the best. Seven of the 16 products were rated as good, and all of these were affordable private-label brands. The Aldi Power Force All-In-One tablet secured the top position in the test.
