Barrena wins Buenos Aires Challenger as ATP finals set in China

Argentine tennis player Alex Barrena won the Buenos Aires Challenger 75 title after defeating compatriot Facundo Mena 6-4, 6-0 at the Racket Club in Palermo. This marks Barrena’s third Challenger title and a significant step toward returning to the top 200 of the world rankings.

In China, the ATP 250 tournament in Chengdu features a final between Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Hubert Hurkacz. Davidovich Fokina secured his place by overcoming Nikoloz Basilashvili in a three-set comeback (4-6, 6-4, 6-3) following a straight-sets victory over Alexandre Muller. Hurkacz advanced by defeating Denis Shapovalov.

Simultaneously, the Hangzhou Open will feature an all-Russian final between Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev. Medvedev reached the final after defeating Roman Safiullin, while Rublev secured his spot by beating Kyrian Jacquet.
