ATP professional tennis tournament results

Overview

Professional tennis tournaments in China and Argentina have seen significant results in late September 2026.

In Argentina, Alex Barrena secured his third Challenger title by defeating Facundo Mena at the Buenos Aires Challenger 75.

In China, the Chengdu Open concluded with Alejandro Davidovich Fokina defeating Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7). While Hurkacz finished as the runner-up, the performance resulted in him rising from 41st to 39th in the ATP rankings.

Following his run in Chengdu, Hurkacz moved on to the 500-level China Open in Beijing. Despite potential fatigue from his recent schedule, Hurkacz advanced to the quarterfinals after a three-set victory (7-6, 6-7, 6-2) against French qualifier Arthur Gea. He is scheduled to face Russian player Karen Khachanov in the next round.

Other notable China Open quarterfinal fixtures include Andrey Rublev against Alex de Minaur, and a matchup between top seed Alexander Zverev and sixth seed Novak Djokovic.
