The Secretariat of Education (SEP) has published the official 2026‑27 school calendar for Mexico, confirming that classes will begin on 31 August 2026 and end on 9 July 2027, with a minimum of 185 effective days of instruction. The calendar lists winter and Easter vacations, official holidays and bridge days, as well as eight technical council Fridays. Yucatán’s state education authority (SEGEY) released a matching calendar, also noting the 185‑day structure and the same start and end dates, and announced distribution of uniforms, supplies and backpacks for the new school year.
