Aleksandar Vučić announces resignation as Serbian President

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has announced that he will resign from his position on September 27. During an appearance on TV Pink, Vučić stated that he intends to address the public that evening to thank citizens for their support.

Vučić described his tenure as the longest presidential mandate since the establishment of the multi-party system in Serbia. He emphasized that he has served the country and its citizens with dedication and commitment.

Following his resignation, Vučić plans to participate in an election campaign as an ordinary citizen. He revealed that he has acquired a truck and a camper van to travel to remote villages and urban areas, including cities and various local gathering spots, to engage in direct dialogue with citizens in locations he has not previously visited.
