While REM President Stevica Smederevac warned that a high volume of complaints threatens to “paralyze the institution,” the Bureau for Social Research (BIRODI) countered that this stems from REM’s own lack of preparedness. Tensions have also moved to the field, with the Association of Independent Electronic Media (ANEM) condemning police for using force and shields to prevent a KTV news crew from reporting on a Serbian Progressive Party rally in Zrenjanin.
