Alentejo promotes autumn tourism and international sporting events

The Alentejo and Ribatejo Regional Tourism Entity has launched a new promotional campaign titled “Alentejo não se explica, descobre-se com vagar” to attract domestic tourists during the autumn months. Running from October 17 to the end of November, the campaign emphasizes the region's nature, culture, gastronomy, and landscapes to encourage short-term visits and reduce seasonal tourism fluctuations.

Simultaneously, the Alentejo region is expanding its profile as a destination for sports tourism through a series of national and international events. Upcoming activities include the UCI Alentejo Gravel cycling race in Ourique, the 3rd Alentejo Walking Festival in Gavião, and the Portugal Legends Championship at the Pinheirinho Golf Course in Comporta. These events aim to utilize the region's natural resources to promote active tourism and local heritage.
