Aleppo launches Al-Albi Project amid $800 million investment push

The Aleppo Governorate and the Syrian Investment Authority have launched the ‘Al-Albi Project,’ the first development in Syria to operate under the new real estate investment and development regulations. The project is situated on the site of the former ‘Albi Tex’ textile factory, a major Middle Eastern industrial facility destroyed by fire in 2011.

During a visit to Aleppo, the Director of the Syrian Investment Authority, Ahmed Rawad Ramadan, reviewed a package of investment licenses and permits issued over the past month valued at approximately $800 million. Several of these projects have already commenced physical implementation.

In conjunction with the project launch, a technical committee for real estate development and investment has been formed in Aleppo, chaired by the Governor. This committee aims to reorganize damaged areas through integrated urban visions while ensuring property rights within legal frameworks. Discussions also included strategic plans for the Aleppo Exhibition City to attract local and foreign investment.
