Alessandro Di Battista returns home after hospital discharge

Alessandro Di Battista, former M5S lawmaker and journalist, has been discharged from Rome’s Policlinico Gemelli and has returned home. He shared the news via social media, stating, “I am much better and finally at home!”

The health crisis began in late August while Di Battista was in Cuba conducting a reportage for Il Fatto Quotidiano. After experiencing severe headaches, he was hospitalized in Santa Clara and later transferred to the Hermanos Ameijeiras Hospital in Havana, where he underwent emergency neurosurgery.

Following the procedure, Di Battista was repatriated to Italy on September 12 via a specialized medical flight. He was subsequently treated at the Policlinico Gemelli. Di Battista expressed gratitude to the medical staff and those who showed him support, noting that he will share more details about his recovery process in the coming weeks.
